BAVS Committee – Postgrad Position Available

The BAVS Executive Committee are currently inviting applications for the position of postgraduate representative.  This is a role shared between two students (currently Nicole Bush and Allison Neal) with the successful applicant taking over from Allison at the end of October.

This is a two-year position and involves maintaining and updating the Victorianist website and twitter account, feeding back comments and questions to the Committee which are raised by students, and generally serving as a representative voice of the broad postgraduate community of BAVS. There is also scope for applicants to suggest and initiate further events or activities.

If you are interested in applying for this role please send a one-page document to Nicole Bush (nicole.bush@durham.ac.uk) introducing yourself and your research, detailing any relevant experience, and setting out ideas for may have for what you could bring to the position, events you’d like to see organised, further activities BAVS could provide its postgrads, etc. Please send this by 15 September 2013. This document will then be sent to BAVS members who will be able to vote for their favoured representative by email.

A nominations form is also required which was recently sent around the BAVS mailing list. Please do email the current representatives, Nicole and Allison, at the email address provided above with any questions or concerns about the application process.

Best of luck to everyone applying! We look forward to welcoming the new representative to the Committee in early October 2013.
