Call for Expressions of Interest
The Centre for Studies in Literature (CSL; http://www.port.ac.uk/centre-for-studies-in-literature/) at the University of Portsmouth invites expressions of interest from researchers who would like its support to apply to the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship Scheme. This Fellowship scheme provides funding for three-year research fellowships together with additional funding for research project expenses. The scheme wants to support the career development of post-doctoral /early-career researchers to improve their proven record of research.
The expression of interest should include an abstract of the planned research to be undertaken during this Fellowship (up to 1000 words), setting out scope, aims, significance, methodologies and proposed publications that will emerge from the project. A full academic CV should also be included. Expressions of interest should be sent to the Director of CSL, Dr Patricia Pulham (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday 29 November 2013.The School of Social, Historical and Literary Studies at the University of Portsmouth, in which CSL is situated, plans to sponsor two applications to the 2014 round of this scheme. Final decisions about which applicants the School will sponsor for submission to the Leverhulme Trust will be made by the middle of December.
To be eligible to apply to this Fellowship scheme, applicants must have either been awarded a degree from a UK university by the time of taking up the Fellowship or currently hold a non-permanent academic post at a UK university.
