CFP: Work-in-Progress Quickfire Session Irish Network for Nineteenth-Century Studies (INNS) Inaugural Event

The Irish Network for Nineteenth-Century Studies (INNS) invites submissions for our first Quickfire session at the INNS Inaugural Event at the Moore Institute in NUI Galway, to be held on Thursday 5 December 2019.

This Quickfire Session of the NUI Galway INNS symposium is an informal occasion, providing a chance to present your ideas and get some feedback on your current challenges. Speakers will deliver 5-7 minute ‘work in progress’ presentations. Proposals should include a brief summary of your current research project and should identify a single methodological problem or a particular difficult aspect of your current project which you wish to discuss.

If you would like to contribute a short presentation, please send your suggested title to by Monday 21st October.

The INNS Inaugural Symposium is envisaged as a study day to allow Irish-based scholars of all areas and regions of the nineteenth century to discuss their work and the state of the field. The day will be built around work in progress sessions, a reading group, and one keynote paper presented by Dr Caroline Sumpter of Queens University Belfast. The event will close with a wine reception to celebrate the launch of the network.

Scholars who wish to attend this event without contributing a presentation to this session are very welcome. For more information regarding this inaugural event at NUI Galway, please contact OR
