Introduction to COVE: uses for online teaching and research

February 5th, 4pm and 7pm BST, via Zoom

COVE – the Central Online Virtual Educator – is a digital platform that publishes peer-reviewed material and supports students with a number of online tools. It started life as an English- and Victorian-focused project, but is now in an exciting phase of expansion to include other eras and languages. All BAVS members now have access to the COVE tools.

This workshop on COVE tools will walk participants through the use of:

1) COVE content (including over 4 million words of primary texts ready for course anthologies); and

2) COVE tools (including an anthology builder, a classroom space, a map-builder, a timeline-builder and a gallery-builder).

Mechanisms in place for signing up your classes will also be explained. You can also let us know about your COVE requirements by filling in this form (but it is not necessary to do this in order to attend the workshop).

Please get in touch directly with Dino Felluga (COVE General Editor: felluga@purdue.edu) to sign up and receive the Zoom details.
